Fair Trade Coffee Beans

Fair trade is an organized social movement and market-based approach to empowering producers in developing country and promoting sustainability. The movement advocates the payment of a fair price as well as social and environmental standards in areas related to the production of fair trade coffee beans.

The strategic intent of fair trade coffee is to deliberately work with marginalized producers and workers in order to help them move from a position of vulnerability to one of security and economic self-sufficiency. It also aims at empowering them to become stakeholders in their own organizations and actively play a wider role in the global coffee arena to achieve greater equity in the international coffee trade.

Some of our favorite free trade coffees include:

Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee – In our book, this is in the top-three all time.  Excellent coffee.

Bucks County Coffee Colombian La Vereda - Intense yet balanced; Grown by Embera Chiami Indians in the Andes Mountains

Poas Volcanic Earth - Delicious beans grown on the misty, fertile soil of Costa Rica’s most-visited active volcano.

Tres Rios Valdivia – A truly unique coffee experience, this gem from the "Bordeaux" of Costa Rican coffee is sure to have you coming back for more.

Tarrazu Montecielo – Grown and ripened at an altitude of 4,200 – 4,600 feet, these beans display an intense dark flavor with a cheerful finish.

We will be adding more in the future so bookmark us and come back often!
